Session Overview
The business landscape has shifted dramatically in the last 3 years. In a world where nothing is the same, has the moment come for a new way to think about IT and how it enables business outcomes? During this session, Christine will explore a future in which the ability to choreograph technology will be more important than our ability to code it.
Much of the last few years has been a fight for survival. Amidst the need to accelerate delivery and cut costs, we haven’t dared to let ourselves dream. As the time comes to think about rebuilding, we have a real opportunity to do things differently. And to take the lead in defining and developing areas of IT that were immature or simply didn’t exist before.
Session Key Takeaways:
- What changes if we start to think about IT as a product instead of as a service? With a much greater acceptance amongst businesses of standardised platforms, where can we truly add value?
- How can we spark our own creativity and start looking outside the traditional spaces to find people with imagination and curiosity who can challenge and expand our thinking? By accessing a more diverse pool of talent and respecting real world experience as much as technical certifications, we can explore the real power of technology to do more for both the businesses we work with and for society as a whole
- How do we open a more fruitful dialogue with our peers and business leaders about how IT can contribute to longer-term business success and potentially bridge the perceived digital skills gap in a different way?
This session is for you if…you like to ask, ‘What would happen if…?’ This is a rare opportunity to revisit what drove you to pursue a career in technology in the first place and come together with your peers to think about how we recapture that magic.
