Jen Bower is an award-winning delivery leader who refuses to let failing happen for free. If it is going to happen – and unless we hide under a rock, we’ll all fail at something, sometime – she firmly believes it should pay us back by being a powerful catalyst for learning and development. Initially drawn to project management by the combination of the science of planning, the art of influencing, the pressure of deadlines, the satisfaction of problem solving, and the constant of change, she loved it so much that she’s now into her third decade.
Based in Nottingham, UK, and wrangling a crew of five children and a needy dog when she’s not wrangling projects, Jen most recently joined Persistent Systems as a Country Lead. The team is growing fast, and she’s enjoying sharing her passion for delivery – including the lessons we can leverage from failure – with the European team as they scale to meet demand.
Fun Fact: Jen is part of the initial cohort of Couch 2 Conference run by Aspiring Women Speakers and is looking forward to continuing her involvement as a mentor for future groups of women looking to improve their speaking skills.
