Software testing is an essential part of the software development process, but there are many myths about testing that can create confusion and hinder progress. Whether you are looking to learn more about Quality Engineering or want to be involved in an unfiltered group therapy session about the topic, then this session is for you!

This talk will explore and challenge the misconceptions around being a Software Quality Engineer and more importantly, I aim to debunk these myths using examples from my personal experience. I will focus on some common stereotypes as well as some more challenging concepts on automation.

The Why: Anything that has a consumer, will have been tested in one way or another. The question is, was it done in the most effective and efficient way? This talk gives you an opportunity to do things differently at your organisation and understand why Quality Engineering is so powerful.
