Hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, Tania is a Digital Ethics and Responsible AI specialist in IKEA-Retail’s Digital Ethics and Responsible AI team. As part of her work, she is focused on upskilling 170,000+ co-workers with the knowledge and skills they need to participate in the future of AI and society. In 2017, Tania founded Humanity in Tech, a World Economic Forum Global Shaper project which aimed to foster conversations that equip people to build technology that is ethical, just and equitable. Later, Tania started Fix the Code, a digital literacy project that upskilled K-12 students to discuss the role of technology in their communities. When Tania’s not helping build a more human-centric future for all, you may find her mentoring high school students, learning a new language or jamming on her acoustic guitar.
