Speaker Bio
Whitney is an Engineering Manager on the Product Monetization Platform team, supporting the wider Market Engineering Platform group within Yelp. She joined last year with extensive experiences in various data domains. With an academic background in statistics and operations research from UNC Chapel Hill, Whitney started out her career as a data scientist and organically grew into the management role where her passion and skill sets are heavily centred around people and cultural initiatives.
She is a strong champion of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Having moved around the globe a couple times herself, she also advocates for migrating talents and their journeys navigating through cultural diversity and uncertainty. Whitney is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
Fun Fact: Whitney is now training for her first triathlon race, wish her luck!
