Speaker Bio

Anna McDougall is Director, Product and Engineering (Projects and Organisation) for Axel Springer National Media & Tech, the tech subsidiary of Europe’s largest media publisher. Her book “You Belong in Tech” was published in July 2022, quickly hitting #1 on Amazon for Career Guide New Releases. In 2023, she delivered her TEDx Talk “Finding and Proving Your Value as a Career Changer” in Berlin. Anna is a champion for change and prides herself in using her stage presence and technical knowledge to add volume and energy to those who might otherwise go unheard. She is a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, a net4tec Pioneer, and a Founding Member of the Women in Tech Executive Network.

Fun Fact: Before her career in software development, Anna was a professional opera singer, singing on stages around the world.
